Violonist and composer Alexander Balanescu returns to Romania for a collaboration with the romanian artist Ada Milea, to perform the theatrical “song cycle” they created in 2006 (The Island) based on a surrealist take on Robinson Crusoe by the Romanian poet Gellu Naum. The concert will also feature solo works by both (Ada and Alex) and other songs from the project “God’s Playground” they also created together.
This year Alexander Balanescu and Ada Milea were awarded the GOPO award for best original music for the animation film The Island by Anca Damian.
